When you are on the Route Finder step of Quote & Book, you will be presented with route options including Ocean routes.

The Ocean Routes summarize sea freight options, best suited for large or heavy shipments where cost efficiency is prioritized over speed.

1. Origin & Destination

This section confirms the main maritime points involved in the shipment.

  • Port Codes: Five-letter UN/LOCODEs identify the specific ports used.

  • City & Country: Displays the port city and country to help visualize the shipping lane.

2. Available Routes

Ocean freight often returns a larger number of routing options.

  • Routing Density: A higher route count (e.g., 90 routes) indicates frequent sailings and multiple carrier options.

3. Price

The price shown is the base rate for road transportation.

Note: The lane will always display the lowest price available across all routes, highlighting the most competitive option for the shipment.
